It has been a busy few weeks in the world of Mrs T! I’m so happy with all the news coverage that my Sweet 15 initiative has been getting across Oxfordshire, Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire and Hertfordshire. As a movement, Mrs T’s Sweet 15 has really taken off and injected a huge amount of positivity into the wedding industry.
Local news
First up, Mrs T Weddings was featured in Bedford Today. This was really special, being based in Flitwick, it’s so nice to get recognition from my local news about Sweet 15 and how it can help local businesses.
This coverage was swiftly followed by a feature in Your Berks Bucks & Oxon Wedding Magazine. This magazine sits perfectly across the counties I primarily work in, and where the majority of my Sweet 15 suppliers are based. It was wonderful to have their support for the project so early on. Following their coverage Your Surrey Wedding quickly came on board. I have a wonderful celebrant based in Surrey who is happy to travel to weddings further afield to conduct ceremonies.
Industry news
I had the most encouraging conversation with Tracy from Wedding Industry Journal. She’s an expert in the wedding industry and published a piece on Sweet 15 which caters directly toward wedding suppliers – and without them, there would be no Sweet 15! This article features a Sweet 15 inspired bohemian wedding photoshoot that I planned. I’ll be sharing more images from the shoot soon, which showcases some of the amazing suppliers you could have working on your wedding.
Broadcast news
On Sunday 18th October I went live on air with BBC Radio Oxford. Talking to Sunday morning host Michelle Jordan, we chatted all things Sweet 15. I explained how the premise works – your entire wedding with 15 people for £15,000. Michelle described it as a ‘lifeline’ for couples desperate to get married in these troubling times. It was also a great moment to do some myth-busting on current wedding restrictions. Lots of people still don’t know that 15 people does not include your catering team or photographer! Meanwhile, Engage Weddings covered Sweet 15 and showcased some of the beautiful shots of intimate nuptial styles I created at Century Club in London. The shoot features some quirky alternative bridalwear options from suppliers who are part of Sweet 15.
There are some more exciting news features coming up that I can’t wait to share with you. Since starting Mrs T’s Sweet 15, it has more than doubled in size. I have the most incredible list of luxury suppliers available for your wedding in the next 6 months.
