These are my ten top tips for getting beauty ready for your wedding – with 6 months or more to go.
TOP TIP ONE
At least 6 months prior to your wedding date try out some different facials, depending on what your focus area is e.g. clearer skin, more youthful skin, etc. My personal favourite is https://facegym.com/ and they even have a wedding package to get you looking amazing on your big day and honeymoon.
TOP TIP TWO
Make sure you know what colour and length you want your hair, you’ll need to plan in your colour and cuts from now on, to ensure you finish with your final appointment two weeks before your wedding date. You and your hairdresser need to be building up to the big day together to ensure nothing goes wrong at the end.
TOP TIP THREE
Consider what colour you want your nails, both hands and toes. You will probably want to start playing with different colours over the next few months so it is worth starting the ‘hunt’ for the perfect colour sooner rather than later. If you want something a little more exciting than just a colour then look at the gorgeous wedding nail art options, such as at https://www.instagram.com/drybylondon/?hl=en Remember! If you are going on honeymoon straight from your wedding; do you need to book an appointment to get your nails changed straight after your wedding day or if you will keep the same colour?
TOP TIP FOUR
Start any hair removal procedures as soon as possible, e.g. laser hair removal will take a number of sessions and you are only able to have a session when you have spent a number of weeks out of the sun.
TOP TIP FIVE
Consider if you want to be ‘tanned’ for your wedding and start looking at what options are available to you – nothing worse than a bad fake tan mark on your wedding day – this is the time to take risks, not the week before your wedding!
TOP TIP SIX
Start teeth whitening, depending on which procedure you want to go with you will need to be working on this for a little while until you get those great results. Or if you don’t want go down the teeth whitening route, try to cut out all the things that stain your teeth (red wine, cigarettes, coffee, fizzy drinks etc). Get strict with your dental hygiene – book the appointments with your hygienist to ensure you have a final visit the week before the wedding.
TOP TIP SEVEN
Become religious about going to the gym, if you want your perfect body, and you’ve ordered your dress, you now need to make sure you get your body in the shape you want to fit into what you have ordered. You need to ensure you are as you want to be just before your dress fittings.
TOP TIP EIGHT
Always follow the advice of your beautician in regards to cleanse, tone, moisturise, have facials, do face masks – now is not the time to be lazy about personal care. Never will so many close up photos be taken of you in one day, unless you are a Kardashian!
TOP TIP NINE
So much of the build up in your beauty regime will be focused on looking on point for your wedding day, the likelihood is you are going to be going on honeymoon afterwards. You want to make sure you are ready for this and there isn’t a sudden horror that you aren’t holiday ready two days before the wedding.
TOP TIP TEN
Drink water – don’t smoke – eat fruit, vegetables and super foods – be super kind to yourself and don’t get stressed – get in touch with me and see how I can help take the stress away.
THE MOST IMPORTANT TIP OF ALL
All this is great and everything, but in all honesty the thing which is truly going to make you the most beautiful and stunning on your wedding day comes from within.
Make sure you are in the least stressed and focus on having the most ‘at peace’ state of mind and you might just find your happiness and beauty shines through in every way on your big day.
