Mrs T Weddings’ 2023 Summer Wedding Season is now complete, and we’re taking a look back over all the incredible celebrations we’ve planned since May. Just like every year, the variety and personalisation of our weddings has been brilliant. We bring bespoke relaxed luxury and our couples bring their true, authentic selves, and the results have been glorious!
Take a read and see all the wonderful celebrations we’ve planned this summer.
MAY
We begin our summer wedding season in late May, with C&M’s epic four day wedding festival at Radwell Mill. Guests were checked in by the Mrs T Weddings team and issued their lanyards where they soon discovered all of the music and activities we had planned. Mrs T Weddings booked headline acts which C&M have seen on tour over the years, making their dreams come true to have them play at their wedding.
In among the variety of music sets playing morning, noon and night, guests took part in interactive arts and crafts, disco yoga aerobics, silent disco, karaoke, secret cinema, guided meditation and more. The venue was packed with different food vendors, from pizza to Mexican to Senegalese. To keep guests comfortable and refreshed, Mrs T Weddings organised glamping yurts and shower facilities. In amongst all of this we had the wedding itself! The bank holiday weather was glorious and the good vibes were well and truly with everyone all weekend long!
JUNE
We were back at one of our favourite venues with S&T’s wedding at Waddesdon Dairy, where Mrs T Weddings is the venue’s preferred wedding planner. The Dairy has a variety of options for hosting wedding breakfasts and evening entertainment. On this occasion, we opted to use the South Hall for their banquet style wedding breakfast, where guests enjoyed a sumptuous menu from Host Hospitality.
Nong Smitinand created the most gorgeous, vibrant table florals and installations across the site, and our newlywed grooms had great fun pootling about on the lake in the new rowing boat! Everyone was on their feet, charging up and down the West Hall to the energetic sounds and moves of a ceilidh band, followed by a disco in the Winter Garden. Watch our BTS reel here!
On the 24th of June we had double celebrations as the Mrs T Weddings team split across two weddings. Constance and Aimee were at Flore House in Northamptonshire for N&J’s UK destination wedding. Our stateside couple were married in Flore Church before taking over the house with their closest friends and family. Mrs T Weddings reunited with Hopyard Lane florals, DJ Brad Francis, photographer Binky Nixon, caterers The Brothers Supper and many, many more suppliers we know and love. This collaborative team spirit culminated in a seamless day for this gorgeous couple. Watch some BTS from their beautiful day!
Over in the Cotswolds, Nina and Lyndsey were at the beautiful rural location of The Compton Gallery for E&L’s celebrations. Our gorgeous couple had wed in Italian Lakes a few weeks previously and were having a marquee reception with all their nearest and dearest. With plenty of stylish touches, from roaming musicians, an Italian-inspired menu, nods to Scottish heritage, and monogrammed ice cubes, it was chic and unique, just how we love it! Introducing The Baldwins!
JULY
In July, Mrs T Weddings stepped back into the world of high-end styled wedding shoots. Constance planned and orchestrated a luxury photoshoot at Waddesdon to mark the unveiling of The Wedding Cake – a 12m high explorable scultpure from rewowned artist Joana Vasconcelos. Featuring more than 4,000 blooms from luxury floral designer Veevers Carter, a range of gorgeous versatile bridalwear from Ellie Sanderson, and a mouth-watering seasonal summer menu from Host Hospitality, the results were sensational! You can read about it in detail and watch the beautiful film on the Mrs T Weddings website.
AUGUST
August had two completely different styled weddings. We start with B&J’s church ceremony followed by marquee reception at Turvey House in Bedfordshire. Guests were treated to some sensational musical performances from incredible acapella church singers who captivated them with songs by Stormzy and Adele, to being guided from the church to Turvey House via roaming saxophonist. At the reception, Mrs T Weddings teamed up with Liquid Bars and Jones Events using the very same bar that had been purposefully commissioned for Mrs T Weddings for K&N’s wedding a year previously! Watch their BTS here.
We then moved on to London for N&C’s fabulous ballroom wedding at the Kimpton Fitzroy hotel. With stunning architectural florals from Emma Soulsby and fun features for guests such as an audio guest book and wedding swing, this was a wonderful venue to work. We turned the versatile ballroom space multiple times for ceremony, wedding breakfast and dancing the night away. We can’t wait to see their wedding gallery and captured some BTS below and in this video.
SEPTEMBER
Entering September, Mrs T Weddings returned to our beloved city of Oxford for a phenomenal four day wedding celebration for M&M. Our couple reside in San Francisco, but bride Maya’s family home is in Summertown. It was time to show their stateside guests the beauty of Oxford and some British traditions, while also honouring their Jewish wedding customs.
Friday began with Pimms and Punting at Cherwell Boathouse followed by Shabbat dinner. Guests were welcomed with goodie bags containing British sweets, snacks, city maps and a guide to the wonderful weekend ahead. Saturday allowed time for guests to be taken on private walking tours of Oxford, to see the spectacle of the city’s dreaming spires and majestic architecture.
Sunday’s ceremony took place at Oxford’s Examination School followed by marquee reception in Oxford Botanic Garden. On Monday, a hearty, energising brunch was put on at The Randolph Hotel before our newlyweds left for the airport and their honeymoon.
Across the weekend, the most brilliant team of suppliers came together to help welcome, guide, feed and entertain everyone! Watch artist Aaron live painting their ceremony. Listen to the phenomenal musicians and vocal talents of TOTEM. Soak up all the BTS from their day here!
It has been a wonderful summer wedding season at Mrs T Weddings. Now we turn our focus onto autumn and winter weddings. We have three super special celebrations, all completely different in style, and we just can’t wait! Bookings remain open for 2024 and we are also accepting 2025 dates.
