What a joy to see Mrs T Weddings feature on Carats & Cake for our stateside couple, Carie & Julie’s stunning Cotswolds wedding celebrations at Cowley Manor!
Their wedding was captured by the amazing Tom and his team at The Falkenburgs. They were incredible to work with, producing a combined photography and videography gallery with such depth and variety.
Carie & Julie’s relaxed luxury wedding celebrations were set across three days of exclusive hire of Cowley Manor in the Cotswolds.
Having married in the States in a small elopement, they planned a second luxury wedding celebration in the UK, before travelling on to Paris with a group of their closest friends and family. Their UK celebrations would centre around Cowley Manor in the Cotswolds. This would involve a number of immersive guest experiences including an Alice in Wonderland themed game full of mysteries and riddles to be solved. Their wedding party also went on an afternoon clay pigeon shooting trip to Ian Coley Sporting. Walks with Hawks also visited Cowley Manor to provide an interactive falconry display.
They had a number of special dinners, lunches and afternoon teas produced by Head Chef Dom Hargreaves and his team at Cowley Manor. Carie & Julie’s final day of celebrations would see an exchanging of rings and intimate outdoor ceremony. This would all culminate in an evening of dining and dancing at their late summer ball.
Nearly all of their wedding party had travelled from overseas. We arranged various transportation for them across the weekend with Rural Rides. Once on site, and with exclusive hire underway, it was time for our guests to relax and revel in the mischievous plans of Games Master, Drew O’Donnell. He soon had guests running around the grounds hunting for clues to his mysterious riddles.
We were mindful of creating timelines that centred around rest, relaxation, and quality time together. Guests had time to bathe, change, recharge and fully immerse themselves in the activities. On both evenings we coordinated a space for portrait photography. This allowed guests to come away with their own prints and unique special memories from the weekend.
We, the planning team, worked with the hotel staff and other suppliers to take care of set up, room changeovers and any needs the guests might have during their stay. Grania from Ink & Paper stationery, and Matthew, Zoe and Gary from Fabulous Wedding Flowers were a dream team to design and create gorgeous tablescapes with. Claire from MACH Management glammed our girls and their guests in the most relaxed and calming style.
The weather played out beautifully. Yes, there was some rain, but it confined itself to the evening before their ceremony. This gave our brides the perfect reason to bury sausages in the grounds of Cowley Manor! (A wedding tradition we were thrilled to introduce them to, with absolute hilarity!)
With so much deep love and friendship, we are thrilled to see Carie & Julie deservedly feature on Carats & Cake. It is a wonderful testament to them as a couple, and to all the hard work of our supplier team.
